CAV makes replicas of the legendary GT40, the car Ford built to beat Ferrari at Le Mans in the late 1960’s. The GT40 won Le Mans every year for four consecutive years, culminating in 1969. It enjoys iconic status among race enthusiasts in the US and it is much sought after by collectors. They buy it for for its nostalgic appeal as much as for its racecar performance. The CAV GT40 is positioned as being true to the original, and also offers a series of engineering innovations that make it much safer and more durable. This print campaign ran in niche car magazines targeted at enthusiasts in the USA.
